I ride and love both modes of transportation and after watching this video over and over here is what I think he did.

I think he came out of a turn and wanted to set up for another left hander and wanted to enter wide but didn't see the cyclist until the last minute. If you watch and listen he was still on the gas until maybe 10 yds away when he saw them and let off the throttle and wham. Like some have mentioned probably wanted to create a good photo op and was not paying attention to the road ahead. Hope he pays through the nose.
I also get a kick out of the comments on youtube that cyclist shouldn't go on that stretch of road, actually maybe the motorcycles should stay off because most the crashes you see are those guys...
