Also, the pavement in that turn is very slick, there is lot of video of low sides in that corner. Who is to say he did not lose traction and go wide. At which point he had no choice but to stand the bike up to slow down or run off into the dirt(crash), slam on the brakes(crash) or hit the cyclists. Im not saying his decidoon was the right one, but it seems to me that he froze up when he needed to either lay the bike down, or run it into the dirt. Perhaps he even got whiskey throttle when trying to slow down.
