Stopping at Rest Stations on a 100 mile mountain bike race

i am going to do another two 100 mile mountain bike races this year.

I did them last year and i did stop at the aids stations provided to briefly pick up water and some snacks

now on average do the top riders stop at aid stations as well?
Or do many keep going non stop.

My question is in order to do very well in the 100 milers should you be able to keep going non stop. As one does need to refill water bottles. These events that i am attending you dont need to have all your food with you entire time. Its provided. I think the top guy do ride with as little as possible.

But i like some feedback from people who have done other 100 milers at other events everywhere, how many times did u stop at the aid stations and how long were u at aid stations?

Thanks
