The velonews article about the crash says he was getting staples put in the skin on his knee WHILE RIDING. I've seen riders hanging onto the doctor's car in the tour de france for minor attention, but bloody surgery at 40km/h?!
Also, I want to know what sort of staple-gun they use for that... Do you keep a prepared set of sterilized roofing staples?
