I remember seeing these back in the day at Turin bike shop in Chicago. The color combinations were amazing. The double box lining is stunning on these bikes. A friend of mine has one in black. It still looks wonderful after 40 years of use.
I couldn't agree with you more bc. Attention to detail in reassembling this bike really paid off well.

One thing about English bikes as a rule when compared to Italian bicycles is the quality of the paintwork, leading to longevity far beyond that of Italian bicycles. When you add in the nicely done box-lining on the JT bicycles, these machines really stand the test of time.
