Personally, I think SRAM Force is the best bang for the buck out there; superb quality, ka-bang engagement and understated aesthetics. Have it on 2 of my CF bikes, will get Force 22 for my next one. Awesome group.
While I'm at blabbin, Shimano Ultegra wheels are the best mid-range wheels on the planet.........I thought Fulcrum Racing 5's were, I was wrong.
