Got the little spanner for holding the notches in the sleeve nut? [as per #4]

i've always used the steel crome plated chainring bolts, & had no problems using them

dry or a tiny amount of grease..

maybe you need to replace your alloy chainring bolts , reliability Vs Milligram counting..
