Greetings from Philly. I am a recreational rider. I use my bike for a very short commute to work (2.5 miles each way) and transporting my 3 year old to daycare. We just had a second child and I anticipate getting a trailer in the future. Philadelphia is a small city and so when we can, we also use our bikes just to "get around town" which means a lot of inner city riding riddled with pot holes, trolley rails, big buses, etc.

I have really enjoyed reading posts on this site and will be looking for advice on getting a new bike to replace stolen Cannondale Silk Path (which I loved).
