I'm all for riding a steel bike of that vintage, but the one in the photo does not impress me. I can't identify any of the components except the crank, which appears to be a sugino maxy, which is not a sign of an expensive bike. As Robbie said, around here you could get several such bikes for $600. I realize this information is not helpful, but it makes me wonder: what would it cost to ship a bike to Kuala Lumpur? It seems to me you could buy a much better bike on ebay from the US and have it shipped to you for considerably less.
Cost of shipping will depends on the specific places in the US. I do bought some car parts from US (Am driving a SAAB)..so far I paid $30 so far..but that's a small parts...Bike might be a different case as it is bulky.
Buying from ebay sounds a good alternative...but first, I think it is fair for me to look around and perhaps test some classic bikes here to ensure the right size
