I'm not sure you know what "vulgar" means -- I think it just sounded good in your head. But in any event, I stand by my comments. There's absolutely no legitimate reason that anyone would contact a crime victim to express an opinion about the things they did wrong. Certainly there's no comparison to saying the same thing to a victim of murder or sexual assault, but it's still extremely rude -- and, if I can say so, bizarre -- to randomly email crime victims to explain that if they'd only followed your shining example they wouldn't be in this mess.

And, yes, that's true even if you purport to couch that opinion in gathering "information" about the effectiveness of different styles of lock -- which, come on, we all know is not what he's doing. As I said before, any information he might have needed regarding this topic is easily available from dozens of sources that aren't crime victims -- and even if it wasn't, the question he's asking them is irrelevant to the purpose for which he purports to want the information.
