I don't really see how that's relevant, unless Gary's surviving family members are cyclists. Or unless they want to investigate whether Gary should have proceeded through the light in a different manner or waited for the green. I doubt they're interested in that.

And I'm not sure that "running" red lights is a good general description of the various behaviors we're talking about.

In any case, it seems pretty clear that the way Gary "ran" that red light, at that time and location, was not OK.
