Bikes: 2008 Novara Randonee - love it. Previous bikes:Motobecane Mirage, 1972 Moto Grand Jubilee (my fave), Jackson Rake 16, 1983 C'dale ST500.

A bicycle is not a jigsaw puzzle that you can just put together in the right order. Assembly is done after inspecting for any parts that need to be replaced and then parts are adjusted or tightened properly with proper lubrication where required. There is plenty of guidance available, particularly from sheldonbrown.com and parktool.com/blog, so there's is no point in writing out paragraphs of explanation when the procedures have already been laid out in detail. Videos are available as well, but focus on the two sources I mentioned.

You're not finishing the rebuild, but rather just starting the hard part.
