Hunter Mountain Spring Classic, cat 4, 10th of 80ish.

78 miles, 5000ish feet, very heavy rain, 4 climbs and 4 long high speed descents, made a move at 1.5k to go and got a decent gap but didn't have the balls to go the distance so I softpedaled until I could jump back on the train, avoided a crash in the sprint, picked a good wheel for the final 100m but my sprint sucks.


The conditions could not have been worse but the overall bike handling in my first 4s race was good, I thought, except for the crash which was a completely intentional retaliation move on somebody's part and took down 3-4 guys.
