Ok thanks. The chainring is labeled by shimano as "for use with super-narrow 9 speed chain", so that'll be 3/32". Sheldon brown seems to indicate the 7 speed chain will work on the chainring, but if it doesn't due to the double guard rings (one of the reasons I want this crank!), a 9 speed chain should work on the 7 speed cassette and derailer without issue. I'll update after I've bolted it on
