OK, sounds promising, I do use the small ring, buy not so much. just for my education, I am confused why would the specs of the deore lx say that applicable front wheel was 48T where my 52 ring fits just fine, even with quite a bit of leeway left. For that matter, it seems most MTB or trekking shimano fd's have the same 44/48T max 'restriction'. Can anyone explain?
