You right about that. I had no idea that eladro's "adaptor" meant shim. I can't imagine resorting to 3D printing to make a shim that could be cut from flat stock alum or, I guess plastic.

Most shops would probably give you a pair of 1/16"thk metal Shimano shims, they throw them out all the time.
