1. Unfortunately, the bike in question is at a Bikeshop in Austin Tx while I am here in SW Missouri. My LBS that carries Felt only has Z series in stock and I am uninterested in them at all. So I cant really ride the frame at this point. I did get on a 61cm Z series they had at the LBS, and it wasn't a big stretch for me and was fairly comfortable....too comfortable...I know I'm going to be happier with the more aggressive stance of the F series.
2. When I said drastically, I just meant that if you look at a pic of my old steel frame 62cm and this modern bike, while they both have horizontal top tubes (none of this bent or sloping hybrid stuff - again, precisely why I am not interested in the Z series), my current steel frame has 8.5" (216mm) head tube and a C2C top tube length of 23.5" (597mm).
Compare this to the FELT F5 spec sheet: On the 61cm, headtube is 200mm and top tube C2C is 592mm.
This means its only going to be slightly lower in the bars and slightly shorter in reach, which should suit me fine, since I've been wanting a shorter stem on my singlespeed anyway.
Am I making sense?
