By the way, Dazzler, the recommendation for lowering the stem wasn't for aesthetic reasons, and I can certainly sympathize with your concerns about your back, but having a stem that far up, with so little of it inside the steerer/head tube, is not very safe. It also puts stress on the steerer tube threaded section, where the head set is, by using the stem's expander wedge right where you don't want to stress that section. If you can lower it about 3 t 4 cm it would be safer.
