The Continental II was produced in '78 and '79 only. In '80-'84 it resumed just being called just the Continental (no "II"), with no other substantive changes. I'd say its not really worth putting any money into, especially since you can get whole ones pretty cheap. The Continental frame was the same as the Varsity, however the forks were different (heavy forged on the Varsity vs. tubular on the Continental).
