Are you referring to the adjuster/screw at the caliper where the cable housing terminates?

if so, and if you are using flat spiral wound housing you may not need a ferule on the end of the housing. Measure the diameter of your brake housing and if it is roughly 5mm then it can run directly into the adjuster...Just make sure to file/dress the end of the housing to ensure it is flat.
