Thanks T-Mar and dddd. The last owner cut and flipped the bars. I'm about to install regular drop bars and road brake levers. I find myself pitched forward more than I like, which is why I want to change the stem. Out of curiosity, was this an entry-level bike in '89, or something more up-market?
