I wish I knew Melvin... They guy I bought it from got it a year ago or so for his son and promised the seller to take good care of it. Apparently, his son likes the mtb better and he decided to sell it again. Being a little ashamed that he broke his promise, he refused to put me in contact with the previous seller and since I'm a sorry excuse for a Sherlock Holmes I didn't even fish for a clue of the roots of the bike.
The bike: a Zieleman in Concorde clothing with Zieleman stamped in the topstays and forkcrown. BB has a five digit number, starting with 79... It has a racenumbertag, which I hadn't seen before on a Zieleman and some nice chrome on the forks. Components are Campy NR derailleurs, shifters, BB and brakes, Sugino Super Mighty crank and Shimano 600 tricolore hubs with an eight speed cassette. It is by far the best maintained bike I've bought so far and it rides absolutely sublime, so there should be no shame in passing it on to me one would think
I think someone raced the bike in a team sponsored by Concorde. It wouldn't be the first incognito Zieleman being ridden hard.
