Making it a 1x10 would be more involved, but you could save around a full pound. You get rid of 2 chainrings, the cable and housing for the FD, and save the weight difference between the FD and the chain catcher.

You'd also save some weight by being able to remove some links of chain.

If you're willing to make some more parts swaps, you can save another 100 grams or so, by replacing the left brifter with a plain brake lever, and a few grams going to a short cage RD.

If you're never going to ride terrain that calls for more gear options, a 1x10 is a valid option, albeit not one I'd go to the trouble for.
