So, I got my HF Ultrasonic cleaner this week.

Unfortunately, this isn't an option for me. I don't have a basement or equivalent work space that is well-ventilated and not in a living space. Right now, I use a corner of my kitchen for my bike stuff.

I started with warm soapy water. It takes less time than me scrubbing (in this case, brakes), but it doesn't penetrate the whole way.

I switched to citrus degreaser. It works much better but it reacts with some of the anodized parts.

Are there other recommendations for automotive or hardware-store type chemicals?
