1. A BB UN55 will be a bit lighter and have better bearing than the BB-UN2X series and the cost difference is pretty minor.
2. Spindle length is very important and you should match the recommended length.
3. As above, spindle length is important to give the correct chainline. Cartridge bottom brackets like the UN series are made to be installed without spacers.
