Saturday and Sunday were miserable up here in the North Country. 18" of snow on the top of Whiteface and 4 to 6 on the more souther peaks over 3000'. Mt Marcy got close to 2' of wet heavy snow. I was supposed to hike the upper great range with my daughter today but even though it is sunny out the runoff and mud will be incredible, stream crossing treacherous. I love waking up in the outdoors on a cool crisp morning, making a cup of coffee and watching the sun rise. Enjoy the trip.
