kinda wish there was some way to move it to the rear rack
how you folks can lose weight by riding is beyond my ken.
i have changed what i eat, but when i hit the door coming home the next door i hit is the fridge, and i'm like a viking who has been at sea for 2 years and hadn't seen a cow the whole time. when hungry i WILL chow down to the max.
doesn't matter how far/near i ride. the bike and fridge have a weird relationship- they exist to get me from one to the other.
maybe i should enter races where there is a fridge at the finish line...
when YOU have worked up an appetite, how do you restrain yourself?
there is/was a comic strip, 'willie and ethel'. now, willie liked his food in quantity. to him an all-you-can-snarf cafeteria was heaven. had his own engraved tray he brought with him. call me willie.
wondering whether what i eat before i ride could be relevant. cheerios doesn't seem to keep me going much. where do you get mostly protein to stay the course? bacon and eggs don't seem to cut it, either.
i have the big d (diabetes) and do use less insulin when heading out, but that doesn't stop the urge to stuff my mouth. on top of that i get really bad sugar drops. the d is out of control.
a 10-15 mile ride doesn't sound like much to you folks, but that is an accomplishment for me as i ride slow. 15 miles = 4 hours. not a calorie burner, but i like seeing the wildlife.
short of wiring my jaws shut, have any of you suggestions? i have lost weight. in 6 months i've gone from 288 to 272 and she says slow weight loss is best. maybe, but i just hit 60 and time to look like james bond is running out.
eating disorder?
