Same reaction I had. Saw stamped steel brakes and boat anchor bottom bracket and passed on it. I thought sure, I could replace what needs to be replaced, but then I just have a frame, and a kind of iffy one at that. So I took the money and bought a bike used.
Pretty much. Like the epitome of Chinese build quality. Although I think some of the shoddiness might be in the assembly.

After seeing it in the store, I saw a guy riding one the other day and thought if he didn't do something to tune it or tighten everything down, which if he was ridding that hideous bike as is he probably didn't, it was an accident waiting to happen.
