I was going to write something much the same. The other problem I have eliminated since I quit trying different gel seats and went Brooks is "male numbness." I used to have problems with that, particularly on longer rides, and that's not a good thing.
I rock a B-135 (the Seussian looking fully sprung job) on my old Trek MTB turned tourer/commuter (the Dorkfiets). I have a B-67 on my Fuji road bike. I know this isn't the usual kind of seat for a road bike, but my riding style is more aimed at covering distance than moving quickly, and it fits me well. It's essentially the same as the top of the B-135, and since I already had a B-135 on one bike I decided to go with what works for me.
Your mileage may vary.
