My very favorite saddle is a cheap Japanese Unicanitor knockoff. Just a hard plastic shell on two steel rails. I've ridden it since 1973. Then my two Brooks Professionals and my two Brooks B17s. Then my actual Unicanitor which is very like the cheap knock-off only not as flexy.
Any padded saddle I try to ride now quite literally becomes a P.I.T.A. after a couple miles.
