Update:

I did some serious hill climbing this weekend on the 3-gap course in North Georgia and realized that 11-28 cassette would have beeen more very usefulthan my 12-25, so would a smaller chain ring. I was able to grind away at 60 Rpm on the sections that rolled to 12 and 15 percent but it hurt and not sure I can do it for 100 miles on a standard. I had to use a lot of torque at times but was able to drop all my buddies that went with me. I had to or I likely would have stalled out.

I'm seriuosly considering picking up a 2012 Force crank to get the compact rings. It a gorgeous and seem to more resonably priced at auction on Ebay. Will I be able to just take of my FSA K-Force and put the SRAM Force one on? Is it that simple? Do I need a new BB, chain? adaptar?
