I agree. I've gone through pretty much the same (although Chain L is tempting and I haven't tried it) and decided on Rock N Roll. I ordered some online and got a couple year supply for $19 including shipping. It comes with some small application bottle too. So it's less than $10 a year versus having to find and mix up a bunch of stuff and find containers to store it.
