if you're getting 3k miles out of a rear tire why would you care if the endurance gets more? that seems to be pretty damn fine mileage out of a tire imho. take the smooth ride and run with it.
I looked into my mileage estimate, and it's actually about 2600 miles(or a new tire every other month).
