Have loaded a tandem insaide a Honda Accord hatchback by taking off both wheels.
Just returned from 3 month trip with luggage, tandem and single racong bike *inside* a 97

My wife has a Acura RSX and we put both bikes in the hatch between a couple of blankets. Just takes a minute to put the front wheels on. If you've got lightweight bikes all the better.
