They can remain cocooned for extremely long periods of time and will emerge when they sense the environment is favourable.
Two conseres fridayus flew into PDX yesterday and survived the cocoon handling ordeal intact. This week they will explore Eugene's bike paths while also attending the NCAA track and field championship
