I'm veering off course but speaking of Di2, I saw the ultimate argument against electronic shifting for novices the other day. Part way through a 100km charity ride a woman noticed that her battery had fallen off somewhere en route leaving her stuck in high gear with about 80km to go. She was very unhappy.
