that is normal for BD, you actually have to take it all the way to check out to see if they have it in stock. I also wanted the gray but it has been out of stock for a long while so I went with white.

step i took for painting.

after removing tires from the wheels and removing inside liners.

1. wash the wheels with soap and water and let dry
2. cover each spoke carefully with masking tape. the nipples are gold on the tt pro so taping carefully took a lot of time.
3. sand the wheel thoroughly
4. wash again with soap and water and let completely dry
5. spray paint 4-5 layers waiting about 15 minutes in between layers. (spray evenly)
6. let dry overnight
7. remove your tape reinstall wheel

if the paint comes out a little rough or some areas appear rough (like overspray) you can wet sand with fine grit sand paper to even it out before taking off the masking tape.
I actually painted the rear wheel white at first but the black and white just looked cleaner to I went that route instead.
