I think he handledhimself very well and showed a reasonable amount of restraint. He reminded the cyclist that he was living in a glass house and there should be careful about throwing stones. At the time the cop first mentioned the cyclists left turn, the cyclist could have taken the hint and gone away, but he chose to keep the needle in and in the end the cop ran out of patience.

The video makes clear that the cyclist was looking for a fight, picking up and following the cop from the corner to where he set up his radar trap. He may or may not have the left turn summons dismissed, depending on the mood of the judge. But if he keeps cruising for a bruisng one day he'll get it.
