Just picked up an old ordinary gitane. Definitely SSFG, definitely bizarre, definitely a keeper. I'll have a restoration thread in C&V any day now.





Has a drivetrain scheme with a chain (currently removed, along with one of the four plates that make up the chainring) under the pie plate (which is welded to the right crankarm) pushing a freewheel.
