Congrats on your Bike ! You may want to search some YouTube videos, on proper bike shifting. Plus other videos on fitting your bike etc.. But nothing beats going to nice LBS and letting them fit you. & check all the components for proper adjustment. And a few lesson on braking, shifting, & they will be able to program your bike's speedometer.
