i have a 2004, and my back wheel lasted almost a year, until i broke a spoke on the drive side, and they stripped the threads on the fixed side taking the cog off. apparently the threads are soft. either way the bearing were shot. my front wheel, on the other hand is on my other fixie, and it is still going strong.

other than the back wheel i've had no problems.
