I used to favor chicken sandwiches or bacon and tomatoe sandwiches when I worked on road construction and never had a problem with those things after only a few hours. The Canadian bacon that I carry in a ricecake hasn't bothered me yet on 60 milers. I plan on carrying two on a century, only one with the Canadian bacon for midway.
