They're a different breed, those RAAM riders. Guy in my club (David) was the first official finisher over 60 (on his second try) and then the first over 65. I asked him if he was going to keep doing it and he said he was done, but I'm thinking when he turns 70 he will want to be the first at that.
A few years back BF member Vireo fielded a 2 man team with other BF members as crew, including Brandy as crew chief. She was posting here during the event and when they overtook my friend David I asked her to wave, say hi, etc. Their 2 vehicle crew shouted and cheered for him as they passed and he was quite shocked, he had no idea who they were. He even laughed about it when I asked him about back home weeks later.
yep. they're even more boring than TT specialists.
pretty sure they're burn off all of their personality content, before they work on their fat percentage.
