Changes like that can often be explained and addressed by external factors. Kids are easily influenced. I'll spare you pop psychology about your daughter and tell you that if this is a blip on the radar screen some schools will take that into account. Not all schools, and it will make like a bit tougher, but you can target schools that take a more "whole student" approach to admissions. Seriously there are people who have lists of schools that will look at the whole transcript and figure out the story instead of just plugging in the numbers.
