Thanks, a lot. It certainly does have same features as some of those Nishikis coming up with Google's pic search. Plus Nishiki is a lot more of a household name in Finland than Raleigh, at least in the 80's and 90's.

There's no N, I'm afraid. Thinking of the low end parts selection, a cutout in the lug would be somewhat superfluos anyway.

Yup, there's an eyelet alright. There was a metal plate bolted there to set up the fender you see in the first pic.
