Seriously, if you're not badly scuffed, the bikes ok, you know what you did wrong and can fix it - no problem. My issue is with with clipless on mtn bikes. When I've gotten into trouble there I'm a) badly scuffed; b) bike is in tatters; c) I know I did something wrong but often can't fix it. I took that as a sign not to ride clipless on mtn bikes.
