Along with the obviously relaxed geometry, I was suddenly in love.

After a few searches thru online catalogs, I tagged it as a 1978 UO 10. Fairly modern Stronglight crank, downtube shifter, "Cadres Allege" sticker and alloy rims.

I'm guessing the reported weights of 70s UO8s in the 30 pound range is lightened immensely if parts are upgraded, particularly the cottered crank.
After converting countless 70's Pugs with alloy cranks, wheels, and bars have found that they drop down into the 25 pound range, my AO8 was 26 pounds on the Park scale with the seat bag (w/ spare, patch kit, wrench, and multi tool) and the pump attached.

Fixed up my fender line... had to replace the rear fender stays as they had been cut too short.

Whenever I replace the stock cottered crank it will lose another pound so should be in that 23-24 pound range.
