And yes, I certainly could just add 17 miles on to my training ride, but I guess I want to start to experience some of these organized rides. I have only done a couple of these organized rides. I have done Bike New York's 5 Bro tour several times, and just last week did one of the ride2recovery honor rides (which was really great).

I was originally thinking about one of these Bike to the Beach rides for autism (I have a son with autism), but I would need to commit to fund raising, and any of them would required at least one overnight stay, so this would be more of a "proof of concept" ride, after which I would no longer be asking myself if I could do it, but rather which ones I might like to do. Does that make sense?
