I've started working at one a few hours a week, on top of my regular job. This is a store that sells at least 10 bikes a day, every day. The pay kinda sucks (about $18/hour) but they're basically paying me to talk about bikes for a few hours Thursday nights and Saturday afternoon after our morning ride. Should I decide to switch from importing/online sales to retail, I will have a greater knowledge base for the retail side. And honestly, the guys (and 1 chicky) I work with are all pretty cool. My LBS isn't so bad after all.
