Yes, Dave Thomas' Speed Dream wheelsets are awesome. I have a tubular set he built from me and love 'em! You can really tell the difference between them and a mediocre set especially when accelerating and climbing, but they are a bit more than what the OP of this thread is asking for, running $569 for a set. They're built on top-of-the-industry hubs like White, Tune, Amer. Classic, etc., which cost a bit more.
